First Medical Symposium of Medicinal Cannabis

On February 15, 2018 the First Medical Symposium of Medicinal Cannabis was held in the city of Bogotá at the Hilton Hotel, organized by Khiron Life Sciences Corp. and endorsed by the Colombian Association of Neurology, focused on introducing the medicinal use of Cannabis-based products and share international experiences in its application as a medicine.

Khiron had national and international speakers, experts in regulation, scientific support, and experience in treating patients with different medical conditions with cannabis. The attendance throughout the day was of more than 400 doctors of different specialties and personalities of the industry interested in knowing and learning about cannabis and its applications.

Among the international expert Khiron brought Dr. Danial Schecter, Canadian family doctor and co-founder of the Medical Clinic of Cannabis (institution with more than 20 attention points in Canada), Dr. Vincent Maida, consultant in Palliative Medicine and Wound Management at the William Osler Health System in Toronto, and Dr. Michael Dor, Israeli physician, who serves as Senior Medical Advisor to the Unit Cannabis from the Ministry of Health of your country.

The national panel included the participation of Andres Lopez, director of the National Narcotics Fund, who contributed his vision as a specialist in the national regulatory perspective. In addition, Dr. Sergio Ramirez, president of the Colombian Association of Neurology, and Dr. Paulo Vega gave a warm welcoming to the assistants.
 
This Symposium was the launch of Khirons educational program that will be carried out during 2018 at a national level in partnership with different medical associations, to guarantee that doctors can learn more about the benefits of medicinal cannabis so that they can formulate it to their patients in the future.
