The changes in cannabis regulation worldwide have made entrepreneurs see this market as a good ground for the development of innovative initiatives. Such is the case with Khiron, the first licensed company to have registrations for CBD cosmetic products in Colombia. This company has stood out for the solidity of its distribution channels and has an alliance with the American company Dixie Brands which has a wide portfolio of products for pets and food supplements based on CBD for humans.
A year ago, Khiron launched its portfolio of cosmeceutical products called Kuida, which shows the real benefits of cannabidol for the skin. According to Elsa Navarro, Director of the Skin Care Business Unit of Khiron, cannabidol is an isolated component through an industrialized process, therefore, it is important to transmit such information to the user and educate him/her on the subject.
Navarro also said that the packaging of the products plays a fundamental role in the marketing strategy as it manages to captivate customers, making them feel close and helps eliminate preconceptions about the use of cannabis. Khiron has developed different strategies to boost the growth of the brand such as: own points of sale in shopping centers and differentiation in the way of displaying the products.
Khiron is a company that creates unique brands and products, it is not exclusively dedicated to the issue of CBD extraction. Our focus is more towards transformation and the way to reach the consumer”, said Elsa Navarro Director of the Skin Care Business Unit at Khiron.
Although Kuida is a line that focuses on women between the ages of 25 and 45, Khiron has included different aspects in its strategy to continue reaching more women, including client education, proximity to consumers, installation of billboards in the main cities of the country, participation in fairs, talks and meetings with users.
